Emergency

Burst pipe? Don't wait.

Every minute the water runs is more damage. Do these four things now, then call. If you are not sure about any of it, call first and we will talk you through it on the phone.

24/7 for emergency callouts · No call-out fee

A brass gate valve on copper pipe inside an under-sink cupboard
This is what a stopcock looks like. Turn the handle clockwise until it stops.
A water meter inside an outdoor ground chamber with the lid lifted
If there is no stopcock indoors, check the meter chamber near the boundary.
  1. Find the stopcock

Usually under the kitchen sink. In older Hull terraces, try the cellar head or under the front bay window.

  2. Turn it clockwise

Keep turning until it stops. If it is seized, do not force it. Call us and we will talk you through it.

  3. Open the cold taps

This drains the pipes down and stops water still sitting in the system from carrying on out.

  4. Water near electrics?

Switch the electricity off at the consumer unit and do not touch anything wet.

05 / Our work

Before and after.

Drag the handle to see the difference. This is a real bathroom we took back to brick and rebuilt, photographed from the same spot before we started and after we finished.

A bathroom stripped to bare brick with the floorboards lifted and the original toilet still in place
A freestanding bath against sage green panelling with a brass bath shower mixer and octagonal floor tiling
Victorian bathroom, stripped back and rebuiltTaken back to brick and joists, then rebuilt with panelling, a freestanding bath and an arched tiled shower recess.

Five finished bathrooms

From a full Victorian rebuild back to brick, to navy metro tile with a roll top bath. All of it our own work, with the before shots to prove it.

  • Dated suite replaced with a full refit

07 / Questions

Straight answers.

If what you want to know is not here, message us and ask. You will get a proper answer rather than a sales pitch.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. You are not charged simply for us turning up. We look at the job, tell you what it will cost, and you decide from there. If you would rather not go ahead, that is fine and there is nothing to pay.

How quickly can you get to an emergency?

For a burst pipe or water escaping now, call 07581 213828 with your postcode. We will confirm current availability and give you an arrival estimate. Timing depends on your location and the jobs already in progress; we do not promise an arrival time before checking.

Are you available outside normal working hours?

Yes. Emergency water plumbing callouts are available 24/7. Routine work such as bathroom fitting and non-urgent repairs is arranged by appointment.

How do I pay, and when?

Bank transfer or card. Payment is due on completion for repairs and callouts. Larger jobs such as full bathrooms are staged, with the terms set out in writing in your quote before any work starts.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed, and any parts we supply carry the manufacturer’s warranty on top of that. If something we fitted fails within the guarantee period, we come back and put it right.

Are you insured?

Yes, we carry public liability insurance. We are happy to provide the certificate and cover details on request before work begins, and landlords and letting agents are welcome to ask for it as standard.

How long does a full bathroom take to fit?

Most complete bathrooms take between five and fifteen working days. The variables are the amount of tiling, whether anything is moving position, and how much remedial work appears once the old suite is out. Your quote will give a realistic timeframe rather than an optimistic one.

Do you supply the materials, or do I?

Either. We can supply everything through trade accounts, or fit a suite you have bought yourself. If you are supplying it, tell us before the quote so we can check it is complete and suitable, because missing waste kits and wrong-size trays are the usual cause of delays.
